Bloody moron. > Unfortunately for your argument, Chris Lewis is actually doing, in general, a brilliant job on spam control across all of Usenet. To some he is a mighty net god, who can do no wrong. Actually, he can even be seen posting apologies from time to time. Unfortunately the tools required to do this are not perfect, merely much better in sum effect than not using them. After all, spam cancelling across all of Usenet is not really possibly except by program, and the more advanced spammers do their best to foil such robots. Thus if a post has the offending website name in, it seems likely to be spam to the robot. It might console you if you found out how much true spam he has cancelled from asc - but that involves being clever enough to count the cancel messages. Even if our prayers are answers, and the Great Old Ones come once more, and devour all the spammers, I expect one or two innocents might get chomped as well. Mmm, one or two hundred. Thousand. Million. OK a couple of Billion innocents might suffer as well. -- Kevin Blackburn Kevin@fairbruk.demon.co.uk
